In 2018 Fender launched the Player series, a new affordable entry level for Fender guitars. The series was welcomed with open arms and became Fender's best ever selling series.

So what is the Player Plus we hear you ask? Well, The Player Plus series is composed of advanced instruments built for players seeking a more affordable, high-performance tool of expression. Featuring Player Plus noiseless pickups, exciting new finishes & premium hardware, the series is here to make some NOISE.

The Player Plus is made in Fender's Ensenada, Mexico factory, the same factory churning out the Player & Vintera Series, as well as a plethora of awesome signature guitars and has been operating for over thirty years now. For those of you following Fender for long enough, you may remember the Deluxe Series, well, consider PP the alternative, cool, punk cousin.

So let's breakdown some of the key elements of the Player Plus.
You can forgive us for being shallow and starting off with their looks because they certainly came dressed to impress.

    ALL NEW COLOURS:
Cosmic Jade, Aged Candy Apple Red and Opal Spark are the brand new creations by Fender. Flashy gradient fades like Silver Smoke, Belair Blue and Tequila Sunrise are the show stoppers that are demanding attention.

    MODERN "C" NECK SHAPE:
Fender have spent the better part of the last 2 years introducing new modern spec'd guitars instead of their bread and butter vintage recreations. Part of their modern releases is the incredible Modern "C" Neck Shape. This super comfortable neck is smooth and fast. The PP series sport 22 Frets, rolled fingerboard edges (thank you), a 12" fingerboard radius as well as a smooth satin finish.

    LOCKING TUNERS:
If you want to save yourself from an hour long lecture on why locking tuners should come on every single guitar, you may want to avoid talking about tuners with our staff member Lachy. However, it seems Fender may have been trapped by Lachy at some point and have agreed for the PP. This upgrade isn't found on the Player series and can save you some serious time restringing while also improving your tuning stability. Score!

    PLAYER PLUS NOISELESS PICKUPS:
All that Fender tone without all that old school buzz we couldn't easily escape without the use of some pedals. The Player Plus Noiseless pickups are an all new and we cannot wait to hear how they rip through a mix.

    TREBLE BLEED CIRCUIT:
A super common after market upgrade, a treble bleed circuit is added to a volume pot to stop the roll off of your treble when lowering the volume. If you don't have a treble bleed circuit, you will notice how when you turn down that volume knob your tone will begin to lose its brightness and turn muddy. Well, it won't do that anymore with this awesome feature that comes as standard in the PP.

    ALDER BODIES:
Fender loves Alder and look, so do we! Alder is known for its balanced yet bright tone. It highlights your upper midrange which just works for a guitar whilst also generating a sharp attack and gorgeous sustain. Alder is commonly used across Fender Mexican and USA-made guitars alike.

Whether you are looking to upgrade your guitar or perhaps get another brilliant build to add to your collection, believe the hype, shop Player Plus!
